Our research clearly shows that there is still room for improving efficiency when it comes to cash handling, particularly in emerging markets.

The key concerns for retail banks remain how to balance cost, control and security. While outsourcing and automation have been widely adapted across the industry, optimising excess cash levels remains a key differentiator between best practice players and the rest of the industry.
