Many Asian banks are concerned about how the most recent developments in the Euro-zone crisis will play out. They are more concerned about how to assess the impact on the different types of European banks – the state-owned banks, the state-supported banks, the regional European banks and the international European banks.

To this end, The Asian Banker is organising a one hour teleconsultation with Mr. Iain Anderson, chief corporate counsel for Cicero, an international policy advisory consulting firm with access to leaders in London and Brussels. His 20 minute presentation will include the following key topics of discussion:

  • The impact on the key regulatory developments in the Euro-zone coming in place (including Basel II, Solvency 2 for insurance companies, and the UK Vickers Rule)
  • The likely response of European banks
  • How should banks in Asia should view them ?

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session facilitated by the moderator of the session,
