The Asian Banker Annual Achievement Awards 2009
Up to 500 nominations were received from all countries in the region for the programme in 2008. Each nomination was quantifiably assessed by our research staff and a final shortlist made to the external panel of judges for their evaluation and validation of the process.
The external panel of judges was selected for their independence and familiarity with the financial services industry.

The Asian Banker IT Implementation Awards 2009
For the 3rd year, The Asian Banker will be presenting the prestigious “IT Implementation Awards” at The Asian Banker Summit.
This award aims at recognising the best practices in the Asia-Pacific banks that emerge from the use of technology and make significant difference to the bank’s functional ability.
The nominees are banks that had successfully implemented or made fully functional their IT projects by the year 2008. The winning entries will also be developed into case studies and promoted as best practices in the region.
The winners will be honoured in May 2009 at the The Asian Banker Summit, in Beijing, China.

Tour of Chinese Banks
Complementing The Asian Banker Summit in 2009, we will be organising tours of leading Chinese banks which have demonstrated leadership in several important areas of banking.
The Tour is exclusive for bankers outside of China who have already registered for at least one of our three conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for senior bankers to witness current developments in the domestic financial institutions that operate in this emerging market.

Lisa Rossi is a Managing Director and Global Head of Liquidity Management and Investments for Global Transaction Banking – Cash Management at Deutsche Bank. She is based in New York and is responsible for worldwide liquidity management strategy and the development of products globally. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Lisa served as the Head of Marketing and Product Development at Integral Development Corporation, a capital markets technology company. Before joining Integral Development Corporation, Lisa was with CitiGroup for five years, where she headed up the North American Liquidity and Investment area within Global Cash Management.

Dr Steven Miller
Dean, School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University
Mr Steven Miller is the founding dean of the School of Information Systems (SIS) at Singapore Management University and also serves as Practice Professor of Information Systems. Previously Dr Miller was chief architect executive for the business consulting services unit of IBM global services in Asia Pacific. Dr Miller started as an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University, conducting research and teaching computer-integrated manufacturing and robotics applications and impacts. He has a a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. |
