About The Asian Banker Summit
On 11-13 May, Beijing will host Asia’s largest annual gathering of decision-makers in the financial services sector –The 10th Asian Banker Summit. Once again, the Summit will see C-level decision makers from the financial institutions, as well as senior regulators and analysts, converge to explore, discuss and share critical knowledge to survive and thrive in this extraordinarily challenging environment.
The 10th Asian Banker Summit is Asia’s most important meeting for the unprecedented global financial crisis – this is where the region’s senior-most bankers extract definitive clarity on priorities and solutions that will critically impact the health of their financial institutions. Over the last 10 years, The Asian Banker Summit has matured into a robust community of decision-makers from the region’s leading banks. Issues covered are global in nature although discussed in Asia, helping leaders objectively assess developments in risk management and corporate governance, business and operational processes, multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks and interbank transactions.
Global leaders attending The Asian Banker Summit 2009 include Liu Mingkang, chairman, China Banking Regulatory Commission, Jeff Lacker, president, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Julie Dickson, chief executive, Office for the Supervision of Financial Institutions, Xiang Junbo, chairman, Agricultural Bank, Malcolm Knight, vice chairman, Deutsche Bank and former general manager, Bank for International Settlements, Jeff Carmichael, founding chairman, Australian Prudential Regulatory Commission and Morten Friis, chief risk officer, Royal Bank of Canada
